How much blood does the heart hold?

The left and right atriums each hold 3.5 teaspoons of blood, whereas the ventricles both hold a little more then a quarter cup . Although both left and right atriums and ventricles hold the same amount of  blood the left sides walls are 3 times thicker then the rights.
